Summer Learning Journey

Hey Bloggers! 😀 At school today we had Megan from Ako Hiko to tell us about the 'Summer Learning Journey' the S.L.J (summer learning journey) is about doing activities and blogging them throughout the holidays. There is 60  activities! As a class we registered ourselves for the program and did our first activity, we had a look at facts about all sorts of country and watched a video for each as well. We had to choose a country we'd like to visit. The country I chose was Chile , Chile is a country in South America, it has a lot of things, from authentic food to amazing scenery, I also wanted to visit Chile because I wanted to see Easter Island, its full of mystery! I'm not sure if I'm going to do the S.L.J, but I'm it would be loads of fun! Thanks for reading, be sure to leave a a positive comment, Blog you later!

Have a look at some of the photos from the day.  Team Games, Teamwork makes the dream work! Here comes the finish line! Sprints! Crawling and jumping at hurdles! High Jump! I hope you enjoyed this blog post, me sure to leave me a positive comment below. See you next time!

Writing Tumble

Image
Hi bloggers, Hope you guys are having a great day. Anyway, This term we have been doing lots of independent work in class. We now have our own writing, numeracy and reading tumble. We have all sorts of tasks to do, from vocabulary activities, to rounding and compensating. In my writing tumble I have wrote about a temple in Cambodia, Angkor Wat, have a look! I have just entered the sacred temple. Woah, look at this place! What should I do first? How about that door on my right? Yeah, let's do it! Look at the Buddha statue! It's Gigantic! It looks awesome from here. Angkor Wat is really quite the visit! The crow of the birds is very loud, and the trees are towering! The trees looks hundreds of years old, imagine the history this temple contains as well! It is steaming hot in Cambodia, this was the wrong the wrong day to wear a sweater. I wonder what else is done in Angkor Wat Temple, well it is a Buddhist temple, maybe religion is practised here. Dust is scattered all over

Anyway, I hoped you enjoyed reading my blog post, I really appreciate you stopping by. Be sure to leave a nice, helpful comment, I'd really like that. Thanks for reading and.. PEACE! ✌

Stop Motion Animation

Hey Bloggers, how's your day been? At school we have been making stop-motion animations, we used an app called 'Stop Motion Animator' and took photos to create frames (pictures), and then played all the frames (pictures) together. I made an animation with a pencil drawing, here it is! I really enjoyed this activity because I'm a fan of all sorts of animation and I enjoy making animations myself. Maybe next time I might put some audio in the video to make the video better. Do you guys like animation? Let me know in the comment section below! Anyways, thanks for reading my blog post, and have a great day. PEACE! ✌️

Technology Rotation

Image
Hey guys, hows it been? Anyways in Te Waka Ako we had a technology rotation were we did an activity in each class. (Waitemata, Manukau, Hauraki)  In Waitemata, we did a problem solving challenge where we used paper, tape, a plastic cup, sticks, and straws. Our goal was to create a bridge or structure of some sort to carry an average sized marble. Here are some photos of students having a go at the challenge!  In my group we used lots of straws, tape and string to carry our marble! This group used sticks and and cut their plastic cup to create this structure! In Manukau, we learnt how circuits are made and how electrons flow through steel objects. We used a Lithium battery , a LED light, Tinfoil, and pins to create our own circuits. Look below for some images of students trying to make circuits! This person used the Tinfoil as wires to create a circuit! This person used door pegs and tinfoil for his circuit!

Improving Comments

Image
Buenos Dias Bloggers! In Cybersmart today we talked about improving our blog post comments. When writing we have to ask ourselves questions (like ' Does my comment make sense?' or ' Does it ask a question?') to make our comments the best we can. here is a picture of the google drawing we made about improving comments. In my improved comment I added: A link to my blog and I wrote 'Kind Regards, Anuk' I really enjoyed this activity because I want to be able to post quality comments on other blogs. Next time I might try to add more although I think this comment was perfect. I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post, I really appreciate you stopping by. Be sure to leave a kind, positive comment, Blog you later! 😸
