Gala Day Inquiry
Hello Friends,
At Waikowhai Primary School, we are having a school gala. The gala includes games, cultural performances, food and student stalls. Manukau class are selling recycled paper, here is how you make it.
Recycled Paper
You will need:
- Paper (any type)
- Long container
- Paper mold and deckle
- Egg beater or potato masher
- Bucket
How to make it!:
1. Rip up the paper into small pieces with scissors or your hands.
2. Fill the bucket up with you ripped paper.
3. Pour some warm water over the bucket of paper.
4. Get your egg beater and mix the paper and water until it gets to a mushy mixture.
5. Pour your mixture into your container and pick up the mixture with you mold and deckle very gently. (don't touch the mixture one it has gone into the mold and deckle, it will ruin your paper!)
6. Gently leave your paper to dry on a dry cleaning cloth.
7. Once dry, you have your very own recycled paper!
Overall I really enjoyed making paper. it was a fun experience for all the class!
After doing this when I see someone throw away paper, I think to myself, that could be recycled!
Manukau class did this because it is sustainable and it stops more trees from being cut down.
I hope you enjoyed reading this, Blog you later! 😊
